Sneak a peek behind-the-scenes of staged mayhem, as the Festival Theatre Ensemble deploys its arsenal of derring-do and weaponry for your delight. From fisticuffs to knife and sword play, (and, yes, plenty of gunpowder!), it’s fun for all ages. Plus, every farthing goes to benefit Full Circle Farm.

Come learn what it takes to run a farm.  

Join our internship program and get an education that will get your fingers dirty, your body tired, and your mind full of possibilities.

Class will cover:

Why? Solar ovens are fun to use and they use no fuel.

Where? Anywhere, front or back yard, while out camping.

Who? Anyone can use a sun oven.

What? What can you cook using a solar oven. The class will include recipes and some basic considerations when cooking with a solar oven.

Solar box cookers can attain temperatures of up to about 350 deg. C (325 deg. F), so they can be used to sterilize water or prepare most foods that can be made in a conventional oven or stove, from baked bread to steamed vegetables to roasted meat.

In the class we will make homemade solar ovens from simple materials you have at home. We will make a solar panel cooker and a solar box cooker. We will also have a ‘sport’ solar oven from the Solar Oven Society to examine, and see how it performs.

We will also discuss how to cook with a solar oven and recipes.

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from a farm.  What could be more local and better than supporting the educational and community farm right here in Sunnyvale!

If you are unfamiliar with the concept, here are the basics: a farmer offers a certain number of “shares” to the public.  Interested consumers purchase a share (aka a “membership” or a “subscription”) and in return receive a box (bag, basket) of seasonal produce each week throughout the farming season.

What do you get out of it?

Cook with the freshest food, with all the flavor and vitamin benefits
Get exposed to new vegetables and new ways of cooking
Visit the farm, consider volunteering, see the chickens
Observe your children starting to favor food from “their” farm – even veggies they’ve never been known to eat
Develop a relationship with the farmers who grow your food and learn more about how food is grown

Starting on Feb 24th, we will have our first Community work party.

We will start work at 10am, then break for a potluck lunch (healthy food only please and then have a drum circle

Janetta Coleman

Full Circle Farm is blessed to receive the talents of so many amazing people who become part of our growing community. One of these amazing people is Janetta Coleman. Janetta’s passion is to teach children African drumming traditions and she is also interested in connecting these traditions with what is happening at Full Circle Farm. Not too far back in human history, agriculture, food, music, and most other aspects of human existence all blended together in one continuous quilt of culture. So, weaving drumming and farming back together is simply a revival of ancient traditions that are finding new roots in our modern (and sometimes disjointed) culture. Having our own “Resident Drummer” at Full Circle Farm is exciting, and we can’t help but wonder if the plants appreciate the drumming too!

Seeing and hearing Janetta and her children perform drumming at Full Circle Farm is energizing and has the effect of awakening a sense of joy and adds a vibrant dimension to the many ways people are looking to connect with the work we do and the community we are building with sustainable, local food at the center of it all. The Farm Stand is the place for you!

We are looking for individuals 16 years or older who are interested in working at the Full Circle Farm Stand on Wednesdays, Fridays, or Sundays.

Shift times vary. Each shift is 3 hours. We provide volunteers with an online calendar to sign-up for shifts that work for your schedule!
