Lilia Schwartz is a photographer, artist, and writer whose family has been farming in California for five generations. She is inspired by the vision and potential of sustainable urban farms, and was instrumental in preparing our initial proposal to SCUSD. She is dedicated to documenting the development and daily beauty of the farm, and hopes to help create an arts education program for our students and community. Steve Sukke has been a Municipal City Arborist for the City of Sunnyvale for 23+ years and recently achieved the Certification for this from the International Society of Arboriculture. As a City Arborist, he is interested in “Green” ways of disposing of tree debris to reduce the use of fossil fuels in hauling and disposal fees. The pruning chips and wood used at Full Circle Farm contributes to this goal. Steve organizes truck loads of chipped material from his City crews to be delivered to the farm, further contributing to the greening of his department as well as supplying much needed materials for the Farm’s pathways and garden. His time at Full Circle Farm is spent helping where staff has little time or resource doing tractor work, facilities enhancement and building much needed physical infrastructure. Steve is critical in the in project completion for Full Circle.
