Get Involved

Sign Up as a Volunteer

Here at Full Circle Farm, volunteers are vital. We rely on them every day, and without them we wouldn’t even have a farm! We need volunteers for all aspects of the farm, including the garden, fields, events, farmstand, and construction.

There are many different ways you can get involved in Full Circle Farm. We could not exist without our volunteer community, and we always welcome new faces. Please read the following descriptions of volunteer roles, and then click the link at the bottom of the page to fill out our volunteer registration form if you are interested in getting involved!

In The Garden

Help grow our 1/2 acre biointensive garden. Join garden volunteers of all ages to dig, plant, water, weed, and enjoy the amazing vista of our farm and the hills. As an added bonus, you will usually get to take home some garden produce!

The garden is open for volunteers on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am to dark. All ages and experience levels are welcome, and you can stay for any length of time. Parents are required to accompany their children. To get to the garden you can park on Dunford Way near the west gate of the farm, and then walk through the gate and down the path to the garden.

If you have a group of 8 or more, please schedule in advance by emailing Garden Manager Dan Hafeman.

Regular volunteers are welcome to apply for the position of Garden Assistant! Help us keep the garden growing! This is perfect for someone who would like to get more involved at Full Circle Farm. We are looking for Volunteer Garden Assistants to help lead volunteers on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Email us if you’re interested!

On The Farm

Help Farmer Meghan with big farm tasks. You will need some training, but once you are ready you can help with planting, cultivation, harvest, and more. The farm is open on Wednesdays starting at 10am for volunteers. We need you to commit at least four hours of manual labor in helping Farmer Meghan and her crew. Ages 16 and older only. Wear sturdy closed toe shoes, bring sun protection and water. Email us if you’re interested!

Chicken Care: The chickens have arrived at the farm! Chickens are friendly and cute, and they need to be taken care of every day. Can you help? Duties will include feeding, watering, cleaning, and collecting eggs (eventually). We are looking for volunteers that can commit to at least one day per week of chicken care. All ages welcome. Email us if you’re interested!

Construction/Labor: Once in a while we have a big project that needs lots of heavy work.

At The Farmstand

Our farmstand is open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 3p to 7p and Sundays from 11a to 3p. The farmstand is a major point of contact with the community, as well as a big source of income for the farm. We need volunteers who can commit to at least 2 shifts per month. Volunteer shifts will be 2:30p -5p and 5p to 7:30p on Wed and Fridays and 10:30a to 1p and 1p to 3:30p on Sundays. You will be responsible for answering customer questions, weighing produce, and adding up prices. Ages 16 + only. Email us if you’re interested!

Outreach & Events

Are you a people person? Then this is the job for you! Help us spread the word about the farm by talking to people and answering questions at off-site outreach events.

The farm will organize several events each year, such as Earth Day in April, a Harvest Festival in the Fall, movie nights, and more. We need dedicated individuals to help plan these events, as well as helping out with setup, logistics and activities on the day-of the event. All of our events are 100% volunteer-planned and hosted, and we need LOTS of help!

Educational Programs

We need volunteers to help out with the educational mission of the farm. Can you teach something? Want to help out during classes or workshops? If so, then this is the job for you!

Web and Graphic Design

We have an active website and facebook page, and have ongoing needs for visual materials design (flyers, banners, etc). If you are a graphic designer or web genius, we would love to have your assistance!

Other
